  • What should I do if a product I love is out of stock or discontinued?
For items that are part of the regular rotation, you can simply click the "Notify When Available" button located on the item's shop page and add your email address, you'll be notified when it becomes available again. Some items are limited edition, meaning once they're gone, they may not be restocked. However, there are products that are brought back annually (based on harvest times) and all formulations are kept in the archives. If there's an item that you're hoping will make a comeback, I encourage you to reach out directly. If enough customers show interest, I may consider a rerelease of that specific product. Your feedback is incredibly valuable and welcomed.
  • Do you sell wholesale?
Yes! To learn more, please contact heidi@holmeshudson.com with detailed information about your store (name, physical address and email address). Once your details have been received, H+H will provide you with a Buyer's Guide which contains info on product offerings, pricing and terms of sale.
  • Do you take back empty containers to reuse/recycle?
H+H does not accept returns on packaging for skincare products due to hygiene and safety concerns. However, customers are encouraged to reuse or recycle the packaging materials whenever possible to help reduce environmental impact. Please check local recycling guidelines to ensure proper disposal of packaging materials. Many of H+H's packaging can be repurposed for DIY projects or, as my favorite, an itty bitty flower vase. 🌸 Thank you for contributing to a more sustainable future!
  • When will I receive my package?
All orders are processed and shipped within 7-10 business days after the order is received. Please note that business days are Monday through Friday, excluding weekends and holidays. Once your order has shipped, you'll receive a tracking number so you can follow it on its adventure. If you have any questions about your order or shipping, feel free to contact: heidi@holmeshudson.com
  • Do you offer local pickup/drop off?
Not at this time. As a solopreneur run business, time and resources are limited and do not allow for this service. Your understanding is greatly appreciated.
  • Do you accept returns?
Due to the nature of these products and the potential risks of contamination once opened, skincare items cannot be returned, exchanged or refunded. Exceptions: If your item arrives damaged, defective, or has an issue related to its manufacturing, please contact heidi@holmeshudson.com immediately with clear photos and details of the issue. I will arrange for a replacement or store credit in these cases. Your understanding is greatly appreciated. H+H is committed to offering high-quality products for all. If you have any questions or concerns about a product before purchasing, please don't hesitate to reach out to: heidi@holmeshudson.com

  • My skin is super sensitive, what do you recommend?
People can have negative reactions to natural skincare products just as they can to synthetic ones. Even though natural products are often marketed as safer or gentler, they still contain active ingredients (like plant extracts, essential oils, or other botanicals) that can trigger allergies or sensitivities in some individuals. How to minimize the risk: - Patch testing: Always patch-test a new product before full use to check for allergic reactions. - Know your allergies: If you're allergic to specific plants, foods, or essential oils, be cautious when selecting products. - Choose products with simple ingredients: Look for formulations with fewer ingredients. - Consult a dermatologist: If you're unsure about how your skin might react, it's a good idea to talk to a dermatologist before using new products.
  • What's a patch test and how is it done?
All of H+H's products are formulated with gentle and simple ingredients to suit a wide range of skin types. However as a precaution, individuals with ultra-sensitive skin are advised to perform a patch test before using products. A patch test in skincare is a method used to check whether a product will cause an allergic reaction or irritation on your skin before applying it to larger areas. It helps prevent adverse reactions like rashes, redness, itching, or more severe responses. How to do a patch test: 1. Choose a small area of skin: Usually, the inner forearm or behind the ear is preferred because the skin is sensitive there and is more likely to show reactions. 2. Apply the product: Take a small amount of the skincare product and apply it to the selected area. Make sure it's a thin layer. 3. Wait for 24-48 hours: Leave the patch undisturbed and avoid washing it off. During this time, monitor for any signs of irritation, such as redness, swelling, itching, or a rash. 4. Observe the reaction: If no irritation occurs within 48 hours, the product is likely safe to use on your face or body. However, if there’s any sign of discomfort or a reaction, it’s best to avoid using that product.
